The meeting took place in Tehran on Wednesday with the IRGC’s Chief Commander, Major General Hossein Salami and Commander of the Corps’ Quds Force, Brigadier General Esmail Qa'ani in attendance. It was also attended by Deputy Secretary-General of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas’ Political Bureau Chief, Ismail Haniyeh, Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad resistance movement, Mohammad al-Hindi, and the senior representative of Yemen’s National Salvation Government, Mohammed Abdul-Salam. They also laid emphasis on the need for continued struggle on the part of the Palestinian movements and their fellow resistance factions across the region until realization of “complete victory” against the aggressors in the coastal sliver. Regional resistance groups hailing from Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq have been staging increasingly daring operations against targets lying across the occupied territories in protest at the war and in support of the Palestinian fighters. The resistance officials were in Tehran to pay tribute to the Islamic Republic’s late President Ebrahim Raeisi and his entourage, who were martyred in a recent helicopter crash in the country’s northwest.
