      Iran: "Stronger and more extensive our response to any attack by Israel"
      He reiterated the commitment to a strong military response in a telephone call
      with his British counterpart

      Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian pledged a
      "stronger" and "comprehensive" response to any Israeli military
      attack, Anadolu Agency reports.
      Speaking during a telephone conversation with his British
      counterpart, Amir-Abdollahian said that Tehran does not seek to
      escalate tensions in the region.
      If Israel resorts to another military attack, the Iranian response will be "
      faster, stronger and more extensive ," he added.
      In his phone conversation with Cameron, his second in less than 24
      hours, Amir-Abdollahian said the crises in the Middle East " are rooted
      in the destructive role " of Israel.
      He also expressed " surprise at Britain's continued support for the
      killing of children and innocent people by Israel in Gaza, where
      almost 33,800 people have been killed " calling the support 
      "irresponsible".
      Amir-Abdollahian said Britain should be more concerned about the
      bombs being dropped on Gaza than the Iranian response to Israel,
      which he said was " within the principle of self-defence enshrined in
      Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations .'
      Cameron, for his part, " expressed concern " about the escalation of
      tension in the region after Iranian retaliation and added that the United
      Kingdom was working towards a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange in
      Gaza.
      He also said that the UK has urged Israel not to respond to Iranian
      military action, as London does not want the war to escalate.
      Speculation is rife that Israel is planning retaliatory military action
      against Iran, despite calls from its Western allies for restraint.
      Sources also say that Iran has prepared 1,500 ballistic missiles of
      various types to launch at targets in Israel during a 3-day retaliation
      plan if Israel directly attacks its continental hinterland.
