21.04.2024 | Newsroom | email: info@pronews.gr USA is changing the facts in Ukraine: They are sending missiles to Zelensky with a range of 300 km! Ukraine will be able to hit the Crimea easily It seems that the aid that the USA will send to Ukraine will be immediate, as it is reported that even at the end of next week, new missiles with a range of 300 km may have arrived in Ukraine. This was made known by Senator Mark Warner of the Congressional Intelligence Committee on the CBS show " Against the Nation." As he said, after the $61 billion military aid package was approved by the Senate, the US may consider sending Ukraine new ATAMCS missiles with a longer range. The senator did not provide further details, but the versions of the ATACMS (which the ES also has) that have been sent so far have a maximum range of 165 km. However, the newer versions have an increased range of 300 km. These are the M48 or M57 versions both of which retain a 300 km strike capability. This is going to have a direct impact on the eastern Ukraine battlefield as Ukrainian forces are going to use these missiles to hit targets even in Crimea or even within Russian territory. It's a new reality for both the Ukrainian and Russian military, and what remains to be seen is whether Russian forces will be able to track them down and hit them at their storage sites before they can be used. There are plans to send military equipment, including longer-range ATACMS, to Ukraine by the end of the week. This information was shared by Senator Mark Warner during an interview with Marg Brennan on CBS "Face the Nation." Such actions reflect ongoing efforts to support Ukraine. For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the approval of $60 billion in aid to Ukraine by the US House of Representatives, but called on Washington to make the bill law and proceed with the actual arms transfer, saying weapons long-range and anti-aircraft defense systems are the highest priorities.
