"The Ukrainian F-16 training program failed," say the French
Almost a year has passed since the training of Ukrainians began

"The training of Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16s turned out to be a
complete failure," said French military expert Cyril de Latra.
Ukrainian Air Force pilots cannot master the flying skills of an
American F16 fighter because of the language barrier, although
almost a year has passed since the training of Ukrainians began.
Until now, Ukrainian pilots, according to the French expert, have been
able to fly F-16s only from one military base to another. He believes
that with such training they will not survive an imminent battle with
Russian forces.
The French expert speculates that instead of Ukrainian pilots, pilots
of private military companies may sit in the cockpits, according to
what the FRWL reports.

Last year, Denmark and the Netherlands (and then Norway and
Belgium) promised to provide Ukraine with 61 F-16 fighter jets. To
begin deliveries, pilots and ground staff must undergo appropriate
training.
Ukraine, for it's part, must prepare the necessary infrastructure for
the fighters. Nevertheless, Denmark preferred the safety of selling 24
to Argentina, rather than selling to Ukraine.

Former Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ikhnat previously said
training of the first group of Ukrainian F-16 pilots in the United States
is expected to be completed by early summer.
