Hunter Biden's brother's widow testified in court Thursday that she found crack
and a handgun in his truck, bolstering the indictment against him.

The 54-year-old son of US President Joe Biden is accused of illegal gun
possession while still a drug addict, a fact he hid when he applied. He is the
first child of a sitting president to be prosecuted in the United States.

Jurors this week heard testimony from witnesses, including his ex- wife and a
former partner, about his past drug addiction, which he has publicly admitted.

Hallie Biden, the widow of Bo Biden (Hunter's brother, who died in 2015 after a
battle with cancer), testified that she often cleaned Hunter Biden's truck
looking for drugs in an effort to help him recover.

He told jurors he had found evidence of crack smoking, including small amounts
and paraphernalia, as well as a 38-gauge Colt Cobra revolver. She feared that
either she or her children could be injured by the gun.

"I panicked and wanted to get rid of it," Hallie Biden testified, adding that
she threw it in a trash can outside a grocery store. Halle has also said she
had a relationship with Hunter in late 2015 or early 2016.  For his part,
Hunter Biden insists he is innocent. Defense attorney Abby Lowell emphasized
that his client was not using drugs when he bought the gun in October 2018, and
added that he did not try to deceive the authorities because he did not
consider himself a drug addict at the time.
